1. Local inspection and repairs
Photo Metadata Repair Inspector processes the folders you choose on your computer. It reads file paths, file sizes, filesystem timestamps and available photo date metadata to display inspection results. Repairs change selected files only after you review the proposed changes and explicitly confirm them.
2. Accounts, uploads and analytics
The application contains no account sign-in, advertising, analytics or photo-upload feature. Application code does not send your photos, metadata or inspection results to QortxAI. Windows and Microsoft Store services may handle installation, updates or diagnostic information under their own privacy settings and policies.
3. Backups, audit logs and retention
When backups are enabled, first-original copies are stored in .photo-repair-backups inside the scanned folder. Repair attempts are recorded in .photo-repair-repair-log.csv, including file paths, operations, before/after values, backup paths where applicable and status. These artifacts remain on your computer; you control their retention. Uninstalling the app does not remove these files from your photo folders or undo repairs. Disabling backups prevents creation of the app's original-file recovery copy for those repairs.
4. Network and synchronized folders
If you choose a network or cloud-synchronized folder, its provider may transfer files, backups or logs according to that service's configuration. The app itself does not provide cloud synchronization.
5. Support requests
If you submit a support request through GitHub, the information you choose to post is handled by GitHub and may be public. Do not post personal photos, sensitive metadata or private file paths. Describe the issue using disposable example files where possible.
6. Visiting this website
The local-processing statements above describe the desktop application. This website is hosted by Vercel and loads its font stylesheet from Google Fonts; visiting it involves requests to those services. Other pages on qortxai.com, including the homepage, include Vercel Web Analytics. These website services are separate from the app and do not receive your photo collection through the app.
7. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when the app’s features or data practices change. The revised date will be shown on this page.
For privacy questions, email qortxai@outlook.com. For app support, use the public support tracker. Information you choose to send by email is processed to respond to your request through the email service.
